Rigorous inquiry into trivial subjects. Original theories not yet ready for the mainstream. Questions nobody has bothered to ask. Minor grievances treated with full scholarly apparatus. Thought experiments that are rigorous and useless. Unnecessary histories of things nobody asked about.
